Brick Laying & Repair

Brick Laying & Brick Repair in NYC and Long Island

Brick is one of the most durable building materials there is, as long as it’s laid well and kept dry. We build new brick and block walls, rebuild damaged sections, and repair cracked or loose brick on homes and commercial buildings.

On repairs, we match your existing brick and mortar as closely as possible so the work looks like it’s always been there.

What’s included

New brick walls

Garden walls, property walls, planters, and brick veneer.

Wall rebuilds

Taking down and rebuilding bulging, cracked, or unsafe sections of brick.

Brick replacement

Removing cracked or spalled bricks and replacing them with matched brick.

Block (CMU) work

Concrete block walls for garages, foundations, and commercial projects.

Parapets, copings, and caps

Repairing the tops of walls, where most water gets in.

Lintels and openings

Repairing brick around windows and doors, including rusted lintels.

Signs it needs work

  • Bulging or leaning sections of wall
  • Cracks running through the bricks themselves
  • Loose or missing bricks
  • Rust stains or cracks above windows and doors
  • Crumbling caps or copings on top of walls

Some brick problems are cosmetic, and some are structural. A bulging wall or cracks above openings should be looked at sooner rather than later.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you match my existing brick?

Usually closely, yes. We source brick by size, color, and texture, and match the mortar color and joint style. Very old or discontinued brick can be harder to match, and we’ll show you samples first.

Is a crack in my brick wall serious?

Hairline cracks in mortar are common. Cracks through the bricks, stair-step cracks that keep growing, or bulging walls can signal a structural problem and should be inspected.

Do you build retaining walls?

We build smaller brick and block garden and retaining walls. Taller retaining walls may need an engineer’s design, which we can coordinate.

Do you work on commercial buildings?

Yes. We handle brick and block work on private commercial buildings and as a subcontractor to general contractors.
