Pavers

Paver Driveways, Patios & Walkways in NYC and Long Island

Pavers give you the look of stone or brick with a surface that flexes instead of cracking. Individual pavers can be lifted and reset, which makes repairs simple. But pavers are only as good as the base underneath them.

We dig out, build and compact a proper base, set edge restraints so nothing spreads, and lock it all together with polymeric sand, so your driveway or patio stays flat for years.

What’s included

Paver driveways

Heavy-duty pavers on a deep, compacted base built to carry cars.

Patios

Backyard patios in the size, shape, and pattern that fit your space.

Walkways and borders

Front walks, garden paths, and paver or Belgian block borders.

Steps and landings

Paver and block steps and landings for front and back entries.

Repair and re-leveling

We lift sunken or heaved areas, fix the base, and reset the pavers.

Joint sand and sealing

Fresh polymeric sand and sealer to keep out weeds and lock pavers in place.

Signs it needs work

  • Pavers that have sunk, heaved, or rock underfoot
  • Joints that have lost their sand or are full of weeds
  • Pavers spreading apart at the edges
  • Puddles that sit on the surface after rain

Sunken spots usually mean the base underneath has washed out or wasn’t compacted properly. We fix the base, not just the top layer, so the problem doesn’t come back.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are pavers better than concrete for a driveway?

Pavers cost more up front but don’t crack the way a slab does, and damaged areas can be repaired without replacing the whole driveway. Concrete costs less and needs less maintenance. It depends on your budget and the look you want.

Why do pavers sink?

Almost always because of the base: not deep enough, not compacted in layers, or washed out by water. That’s why we put most of the work into the base.

How do I keep weeds out of my pavers?

Polymeric sand in the joints hardens and resists weeds and ants. Topping it up and resealing every few years keeps the joints tight.

Can pavers be installed over existing concrete?

Sometimes, for patios with a sound, well-drained slab. For driveways we usually recommend removing the old slab and building a proper base.
